We all want a magic pill that will make our metabolisms work faster, better and more efficiently. Really, who wouldn't? It would be great to take two pills and have a slimmer waist line in the morning! Unfortunately, this is not realistic. While some medications and supplements can very much help the process along, other steps are often necessary to make lasting changes. One of the most important things you can do, in fact, involves nothing more than exercising a bit.

Okay, so that's a little harder than most of us would like, but there are very compelling reasons why exercise is vital for improving metabolic rate. While there is no magic pill that can make your metabolism function perfectly, exercise does come rather close to it. When coupled with better eating habits, the effects are generally rather impressive.
